A case-based masterclass for the primary care physician covering all the essentials and latest updates on metabolic bone disease.
This interactive webinar session presented by a panel of specialist clinicians from Western Health’s Endocrinology Department will present the latest updates in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease care relevant to primary care physicians.
Topics covered will include up-to-date descriptions of the local burden of osteoporosis and minimal trauma fractures, highlighting opportunities for improvement in diagnosis and management, as well as reviews of the latest guidelines for the work-up and management of osteoporosis and Paget’s disease.
Updates on local referral guidelines will also be covered, with expert input from all relevant specialties. A direct question and answer session with the speakers will also be provided.
Speakers
Dr Chris Preston and Dr Michael Fogarty are endocrinologists working within Western Health’s Metabolic Bone Clinics, and Dr Alec Ronan is an endocrinology registrar completing specialist training at Western Health. All have clinical and research interests and expertise in metabolic bone disease.
